HOW TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY
With Small Business Saturday coming up on November 27th, Zach Lezberg, Founder & CEO of Small Business Expo, America’s biggest business networking and educational event for business owners, startups, and entrepreneurs is available to offer some advice on how consumers can support small businesses! He is available for interviews or you can use some of his suggestions below:
- SHOP LOCAL whenever you can. Support small businesses in your local community.
- SHARE ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE SMALL BUSINESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. If you have had a great experience with a local small business, post about it on social media and tag them if you can. Even making 1 or 2 posts a week about local small businesses you use frequently and love can have a great impact for them among your social circle not just on Small Business Saturday, but all year long!
- INTRODUCE A SMALL BUSINESS TO A FRIEND. Maybe you have been doing business with a local small business for years, but a friend, family member, or neighbor has never heard of them. Just by making one introduction you can pay it forward for that small business.
- SHOP SMALL. E-Commerce sites like Etsy are full of small businesses who need to make a living from their art, baked goods, and more. So if you want to shop online, you can do so and shop small businesses on sites like these.
- BUY A GIFT CARD. If you’re not sure about what a friend or family member might want, buy them a gift card for a small business. Even if the business doesn’t have the official plastic gift cards, they will still be able to type up a letter or some document to create a gift certificate you can send to someone.
If you would like to interview Zach want additional information, please just let me know.
Thanks for your time.
